Christmas tree themed Phase 4 phonics reading and spelling games using CCVCC words. Each player has a base board. Use a spinner or blank dice giving the choices “read” or “spell”. Spin “spell” - select a word and spell using Look Cover Write Check. If correct, cover it with a counter. Spin “read” - select a word to read. If correct, cover with a counter. The winner is the first one to cover all their tree. Or, cover all the words with counters. Take turns to uncover one and read it. If correct, leave it uncovered.
